gardendwellers FARM is proud to offer a variety of classes and events throughout the year. It is rare that we have time to mail out information to all of our customers regarding the fun times so checking on this page is the best way to view our schedule. We encourage you to check back often for changes. You never know when the mood might strike us to have a little more fun!

We are cutting back our class schedule this summer to accommodate increasing demands for our wholesale business, renovation of the display gardens and our first year of high tunnel growing; however private groups, clubs, tours, and classes are always welcome. Call us today to reserve your date.
- July 6th - 7 to 9 PM, Cooking with Herbs Class, cost $15.00 - If you like cooking or you just want to learn more about cooking with fresh herbs, come join us for this great class. No experience necessary! We'll walk through the herbs, learn about the growing and uses of each variety. You'll get to taste, touch and smell all the wonderful additions for your meals. We'll then split into groups and cook several new recipes using the herbs straight from the gardens. We'll include new recipe's not used in previous cooking with herbs classes.
- July 13th - 7 to 9 PM, cost $15.00 - a repeat of our very popular Cooking with Herbs Class, if you are unable to make it on July 6th, please join us on the 13th for this fun evening of food and learning.
- July 23-25th - Private Event, unavailable for group tours but individuals and small groups always welcome!
- July 28th - 7:00-9:00 PM, Beer Dinner in the Gardens - Sponsored this year by Schwan Wholesale. Join us for an evening of great herbed food paired perfectly with great beer. Limited number of tickets will be sold for this event, please call for availability and information.
- August 13th and 14th - North Dakota State Horicultural Society Annual Conference. This conference is open to everyone - you do not need to be a member to attend. Most of the activities will take place in Devils Lake at Lake Region State College, however Friday is tour day and participants will be touring gardens and farms within the Lake Region - including gardendwellers FARM! Please feel free to email us about the details of this great conference. Everyone interested in gardening is welcome to attend one or both days of this fun event. Email us for registration information and cost.
- August 1st - gardendwellers FARM Mid-summer tours and fun event - free - If you've never visited us and you've wondered what we're up to - here's your chance to come out and see. We'll be giving tours all day and be available to answer all of your questions about herbs, the FARM, gardening, native plants - whatever! Refreshments will be served. Welcome Canadians!

- September 4th - 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM - gardendwellers FARM Produce Party. This annual event has become a real crowd pleaser. Our one day farmers market and garden event has activities and shopping for the whole family. Watch this page of our web site for more details about the days' events as the date draws closer. Maybe we'll even bring back the 'Make Your Own Scarecrow' booth - it was a big success last year! This year's event will feature the Dole Horses from Norway and much more!

- September 22nd 7PM to whenever - Stone Soup Supper and Labyrinth Walk to Celebrate the Fall Equinox. Watch here or on our blog (Happenings page) for more details as the date approaches.
- Other Fall classes may be added depending on weather and harvest - so check back!
Our class instructor, Holly Mawby, has a life-long love affair with the plant kingdom, and a passion for sharing what she knows with others. Holly believes that all plants teach us as we use them in our everyday life and demonstrates these uses in her classes. Barry Mawby is the perfect garden angel and takes care of all of the little details that make our classes enjoyable for every guest at gardendwellers FARM. These two are masters at their craft and ensure a pleasurable experience for visitors of all ages.
A few things about our classes:
· We do not mail out class confirmations. If you email us with your registration, we will email you back to be sure we have you registered. If you call to register, we will let you know at that time if your participation is confirmed.
· Payment for the class is due at the beginning of class.
· If you cannot make it to a class that you have registered for, please let us know as soon as possible so we may offer your seat to someone else.
· Classes will take place outdoors in the gardens unless weather or topic does not permit it. If classes are held indoors, they will be held in the Harvest House at gardendwellers FARM. Please dress appropriately and if necessary bring sun screen or mosquito protection.
· Restroom facilities and soda machine are available on premises.
· All class areas and activities are accessible to people of all abilities and ages, if you have concerns about your special needs please call us.
· Class prices include all materials and tools necessary unless otherwise stated.
· Classes may be canceled if enough guests are not registered to warrant the costs involved in running the event. Should a class be cancelled, we sincerely apologize and will call or email you at least one day before the class to notify you of the cancellation.
